My name is Claire Janelle Widman and this is my first entry as a Danzia model/blogger. I still can't believe I'm saying it! I have always been told I should model because I have legs up to my armits and I'm a stick figure, but I never believed that I'd actually go for it.

Just weeks ago, I auditioned to be a model for Danzia through the dance studio that I teach at called Impulse Dance Studio. I heard about the auditions and thought, "no way will I actually get this" but then when I got the call to be in the first photo-shoot I was overjoyed! My life really has fallen into a good place right now.

I was in Santa Barbara the past few years for college, at a private school called Westmont. However, I am back for financial reasons and I thought I'd be miserable living at home again and working a retail job. I didn't realize how wrong I was. It was meant to be. My friend actually connected me with Impulse, as I live about 25-30 minutes away from it. She taught there already and she told me about the studio and the auditions. I went to interview as a teacher as well as the audition for the modeling job. I am so thrilled to have gotten both!

It's just been an amazing ride so far coming back home and getting back to dance, a passion I have held all of my life. I am so glad I was led home to pursue this dream I love so much!
