Danzia DIY: Flower Crown

Want a little something springy to dress up your recital outfit? This DIY flower crown is so easy to put together and will style up any outfit. You can wear this on and off the dance floor!

MATERIALS NEEDED:

Scissors

Faux Flowers (small-medium size)

Hot Glue Gun

Stem Wire

Floral Tape

Ribbon

Pliers

Instructions:

Step 1: Take 3 pieces of stem wire and twist the ends together using pliers. Loosely braid the wires together, leaving spaces in between each wire. Trim wires to the length and twist the other end of wires together.

Step 2: Bend both ends of braided wire inward so they don’t poke your head. Wrap flower tape around the ends for further protection.

Step 3: Cut off flowers and get creative! Use a mixture of colors and sizes. From my experience with faux flowers, you should be able to just pull the flower off the stem.

Step 5: Arrange the flowers on the braided wire and hot glue the ends to the wire using a substantial amount of hot glue. Start from the middle flower and work your way outwards for even results. Add leaves for extra detail.

Step 6:

Hot glue a piece of ribbon along the backside of the flower bun crown. Ensure the ribbon is a similar color to your hair so the result is more seamless. The ribbon should also be long enough to tie around your bun.

You’re all finished, it's easy & adorable!
