Lux Lächeln and Southbound Photography collaborated on a beautiful photography session featuring our Danzcue Angel Wings.
The stunning images caught our eye and we had to feature them!
We asked Lux more about the story behind this shoot and she gave some insight on how these beautiful images were created.
"I actually am more of a model and artist than a dancer -
I have done a fair amount of dance in the past but that was quite a few years ago.
I used to do ballet, ballroom, latin, event gogo, and scottish folk.
Nowadays I work as a model and stylist/art director on photoshoots."
"For this particular shoot in Austin, TX I was challenged by the two photographers (Southbound and Neil Schaffel)
to style a unique look around a pair of Danzia wings.
They sent me a link to your online catalog but other than that I was given no other instruction.
The red dance wings really stood out to me -
I decided to create a phoenix inspired look around the wing
because I currently live in Phoenix and draw so much inspiration from the city and the desert around it!"
"During the shoot I played music from the musical "Chicago" and also songs from Goldfrapp to set the mood.
It was a really magical experience to move to the music in this costume with the wings floating
and swirling to the music. I love planning performative shoots of this nature and I'm looking forward to
styling more shoots with Danzia wings."
