Featuring Dancer, Miss Hannah Clark!

1. Tell us a little about yourself?
- Well to start, I have been dancing ever since I was a little girl. I've tried to do soccer and gymnastics under those years but always find myself back to dance. Now at age 15, I dance on a senior production company at Elite. Over the summer I take a month off and go visit family in Sweden. My whole family is fluent. As soon as I come back, it's a full swing with hours of practice and school starting. But I wouldn't want it any other way.

2. How long have you been dancing for?
- I have been dancing for about 12 years!

3. What styles of dance do you specialize in?
I specialize in ballet and contemporary.

4. What made you want to start dancing?
When I was little, my mom took me to the annual production of The Nutcracker and I was mesmerized by the ballerinas. I told myself that would soon be me and that I would help inspire the next generation of dancers.

5. What has been your greatest accomplishment on your dance career?
One of my greatest accomplishments as a dancer is just how I've improved over the years. My first few years of dancing it was hard to find myself and who I was as a dancer. Then one year everything clicked. I am still excited to see where this journey will take me.

6. What has been your most memorable moment?
My most memorable moment was performing the role of sugar plum fairy. It was one of my dream roles and to be able to perform it for others to enjoy was a moment I will never forget.

7. What has been your greatest challenge?
My greatest challenge as a dancer was and still is to not be so hard on myself. Dancing can be a very frustrating sport. Working hours and still not getting it right. I think every dancer struggles with the idea of being perfect all the time but we need to sit back and realize the reality of it all. That we will make mistakes however we could use those mistakes to grow.

8. What advice would you give to other dancers?
Advice I would give other dancers is to not play it safe. Don't be afraid of failing. If you believe that you can do it, you will do it. Dance is what you love, so go for it!
