Because this was my second pair, I knew to order a size down from my street shoe size, which is 8 - 8.5. The size 7 fits perfectly. I would not be able to belly dance without these shoes protecting my feet, especially on rough or dirty floor surfaces. While these don't have the thicker soles and leather ties of the discontinued Capezio hermes sandal, they serve the purpose and are better than the other currently available Hermes I've tried. The laces are quite stiff, but are okay, and you can always replace them with soft leather ones.
